Aditya Ghosh,
President & Executive Director, Interglobe Aviationage: 39
Ask Ghosh about the secret sauce behind running a profitable airline in India, and he names “consistency”. Indigo not just recorded profits for the sixth year in a row, but also grew top line by 21%. If his team felt the pressure of increased competition with the launch of two airlines, it didn’t show: Indigo’s market share increased from 28% to 36%. The year also saw Indigo strike a record deal of $25.5 billion for 250 Airbus aircraft. Ghosh told his team to stay focussed on strengths and “not let all the noise come in the way of what we do best”.
