Many people generally aspire for the American Dream. But these three former Wall Street bankers gave it all up to chase their dreams in India. Pocket Aces, which has created some of India’s most popular digital media brands such as FilterCopy and Dice Media, calls 2018 a watershed year. Last year, one of the five-year-old firm’s popular web shows, Little Things, was picked up as a Netflix original. “It put us on the map, not only in India but also internationally… We are getting calls from studios we had seen movies of on the big screen,” says Pandita (right). Pocket Aces says viewership has grown 10 times over the past year, with more than half a billion views a month. Its e-sports platform, Loco, has seen 17 million downloads.
