Karan Aneja,
Co-founder and Senior VP, Portea Medicalage: 27
Karan Aneja and Zachary Jones came into the spotlight in May 2013 after serial investors Meena and Krishnan Ganesh bought out Portea Medical, provider of in-home medical services. Aneja and Jones, both American expats, had met in Delhi. Jones, whose mother was a home nurse in the U.S., noticed the dearth of the in-home option in India. They went on to build a network of around 25 clinicians, and inked contracts with hospitals in Delhi and Bangalore. Insurance firms are happy because of the growing robustness of Portea’s patient records—3,000 patients per month.
