Amid recent reports of a sales slowdown in China, India generated a lot of positive news. Mi phones were made available across e-commerce platforms and physical stores, the company launched a well-received fitness band, Ratan Tata became an investor, and Xiaomi announced its first Indian assembly line in Andhra Pradesh, aligning itself with the high-profile ‘Make in India’ programme. A key goal for Jain this year: expanding Xiaomi’s exclusive service centre network.
