Neha Kirpal ,
Founder and Director , Indian Art Fairage: 33
By bringing over 1,000 artists (local and international) to exhibit their work at the India Art Fair every year, Kirpal has made it into one of South Asia’s leading platforms for modern and contemporary art. It successfully completed six years this February, and has seen over 400,000 visitors from over 60 countries. The latest edition featured new galleries from Spain, France, Germany, Portugal, Turkey, Israel, and Pakistan. While art fairs in neighbouring cities such as Dhaka (Bangladesh) and Abu Dhabi (U.A.E) tend to be destination fairs, Kirpal has kept the focus on promoting Indian art, roughly maintaining a 3:2 ratio between Indian and foreign collections.
