Nikhil Ganju,
Country Manager, India, TripAdvisorage: 39
When Ganju took over three years ago, “90% attendees [in any hospitality conference] had never heard our name”. Today, it is one of India’s top four travel sites. More than a lakh Indian properties are listed on TripAdvisor, 40% added last year alone. Globally, TripAdvisor is moving from reviews and price comparisons to bookings, a la MakeMyTrip and Expedia. Ganju is confident that its 2 million reviews will be the differentiator. His idea of offering air miles to incentivise reviewers is already a global practice within the company.
