When you have an expectation or goal and when you achieve that goal you certainly get a feeling of success, says Deepak Mehta, chairman and managing director of Deepak Nitrite.
"As soon as you are content, you want to climb the next peak and, that is one way of keeping you constantly motivated," he says. To build a professional organisation, Mehta says one has to choose the right team which, is young, inspired and driven. From the management point of view, they need to be given a sense of trust and over some time, a sense of ownership so that they start feeling they own the challenge rather than they are asked to work towards some set goals. Mehta says a business owner is driven by an idea and the person is thinking and dreaming about that and living in that world. For a professional, he puts in 10 hours of work and then, he has his family life. For an owner, that can be a bit difficult and a different priority, says Mehta.
