Sankaranarayanan has the unenviable task of trying to convince the state and central governments to be less draconian about alcohol. At the same time, she has had to deal with competition from other liquor brands. But it hasn’t been just fire-fighting. Sankaranarayanan’s experience in the consumer industry took her to the top spot at the Advertising Standards Council of India.
