Count Dongre, 52, among those who put their money where their mouth is. In the past year, her new factory in Navi Mumbai's Rabale swung into action, adding close to 800 employees. There was also the launch of her new eco-friendly label Grassroot. The label, which Dongre plans to push in the West, was developed with the help of artisans and NGOs working to protect and promote textile handicraft. With sales of 3.7 million pieces of clothing, revenue for FY15 is projected at Rs 700 crore—almost 40% more than last year.
