Dongre has come a long way since she debuted on our list in 2013. Then, with sales of barely ₹250 crore, she was actively parlaying with investors to fund her next round of growth. Last year, the House of Anita Dongre posted sales of ₹675 crore and expects to touch ₹725 crore in FY20. Over the years, she has added a couture line, Anita Dongre, with 12 standalone outlets, started Grassroot, which focusses on sustainable luxury, and opened four stores in India. Dongre, who spoke at the World Economic Forum, Davos, this year, has flagship stores in New York and Quatre Bornes in Mauritius.
