For Suyash, this year is all about performance and creating shareholder value. After the Fidelity acquisition took place (2012), she spent considerable time integrating the business, motivating employees, and implementing a new investment philosophy. One key achievement: reaching operating breakeven. The fund made a profit of Rs 50 lakh in the financial year, against a loss of Rs 58.5 crore the year before. The average assets under management have increased from Rs 13,781 crore in June 2013 to 19,894 crore in June 2014. Suyash also launched two funds—the L&T Emerging Businesses Fund and L&T Business Cycles Fund. Together, they garnered over Rs 600 crore in equity assets.
