This new entrant on the list almost threw in the towel in 2014 when her distribution deal with electronics chain Croma went sour. Two years later, she tied up with Flipkart. Vu TV's top line has grown from Rs 96 crore in 2015 to Rs 275 crore in 2016. The company sold 160,000 TVs last year. Saraf, a Mumbai native who graduated with a degree in business from the University of Southern California, has been to acting school and is a trained Odissi dancer. "I learned discipline from Odissi," she says. Any CEO would need it to take on giants like LG, Samsung, and Sony. That, and courage, which Saraf has shown in plenty. She is also on the executive committee of FICCI.
