Sitting in a coffee shop and observing youngster, says Harshbeena Zaveri, vice chairman and MD, NRB Bearings, helps her find solutions to tricky business problems. Over the years, she has succeeded in making her firm a preferred mobility solutions partner for global auto majors. While analysts were predicting a tough ride for NRB in FY21 and FY22 due to the Covid crisis, the company did better. Even though total income fell ₹24 crore to ₹747 crore in FY21, net profit rose by ₹14.28 crore to ₹43.73 crore. "It is the result of a long and complex effort we put in over the years," says Zaveri. During the lockdown, NRB trained all employees on financial management and to develop new products eyeing e-mobility opportunities in the future.
