Naina Lal Kidwai, 

Kidwai was recently elevated to the position of director on the board of HSBC’s Asia Pacific operations. This segment has contributed about $6 billion, or 60% of the bank’s overall profits, for the fiscal ending December 2010. Kidwai has headed HSBC’s India operations since 2006. During this period, employee strength has grown to about 35,000, making HSBC one of the largest foreign financial services companies here by staff. In March, Kidwai was appointed vice president of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the first woman to be nominated to the post, and is in line for the top job at the industry body.
