Between new Banking licences and ongoing consolidation, Kidwai’s job is to make sure HSBC India doesn’t flounder. This year, the bank advised Etihad Airways on its $600 million investment in Jet Airways, and GlaxoSmithKline on its 30% stake increase in its Indian arm. Kidwai was also elected Ficci’s first woman president.
