Pallavi S. Shroff, 

Shroff has been recognised as one of the first specialists in competition law in India. A lawyer for 37 years, she started at a time when she says “women faced huge challenges in being accepted as serious lawyers”. She was appointed managing partner of the firm in 2015. Shroff has been a part of some of the largest and most challenging litigation and arbitration cases in India. Under her watch, in the past year the firm has also gestated and grown its insolvency and bankruptcy practice, and is involved in 60 matters, the largest for any law firm in India. Since she became managing partner, the firm has grown from 60 partners in May 2015 to 100. She was instrumental in acquiring the entire M&A team of BMR Legal. She also serves as the alternate member (India) at the International Court of Arbitration, a branch of the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris.
