After three years of flat sales growth, last year NDTV’s revenue grew by 8.6% to Rs 366 crore and losses fell from Rs 98 crore to Rs 19 crore. Losses have since gone up to Rs 22 crore in the first quarter of FY13. NDTV filed a $1 billion suit against TV viewership rating agency TAM India and its global parents Nielsen and Kantar. NDTV contended that TAM manipulated viewership data, leading to poor ratings.
