Sangeeta Pendurkar,
Managing director, Kellog Indiaage: 51
Pendurkar left Kellogg in June (more than half way through our ranking period) after a six-year stint at the company. When she took over, breakfast cereal was still not much of a habit, even in urban areas. She managed to successfully ride urban India’s shift to packaged breakfast cereals. At the same time, she reached new rural markets with smaller sachet packs. Under her, the company also localised some of its products. Cue masala oats and ragi Chocos.
