The pandemic hit Bhartia’s business hard. HT Media reported a net loss of ₹51.95 crore in the quarter-ended June 2020. However, the company has been bleeding earlier too. For FY20, HT Media reported a net loss of ₹217.42 crore, while revenue from operations was down 4.28% from the year-ago period. Despite this, Bhartia stands tall, and is seeking to leverage the potential of digital. This year, HT Media redesigned its newspaper and acquired two digital portals, representing her digital-first approach.
