When Covid 2.0 ripped through India, getting timely access to medical oxygen supplies was the biggest problem. That's when SAP Labs India got a team in place and connected the Government of India with medical oxygen suppliers using the Oxygen Digital Tracking System (ODTS). "Since more than 80% of India's largest medical oxygen suppliers run SAP, a real-time integration of all major oxygen suppliers with ODTS was done within 36 hours," says Sindhu Gangadharan, senior vice president and MD, SAP Labs India. Gangadharan, who has been with SAP Labs for 22 years, heads the largest SAP team outside Germany. Out of the 102,400 employees SAP has across 140 countries, 14,000 are from SAP Labs India. "We have the second-largest R&D lab outside our headquarters, and is the only hub where we have the entire portfolio covered," says Gangadharan. — Anup Jayaram
