Vanitha Narayanan, 

This year, Narayanan was made chairman of IBM India, and her role has consequently changed. Where earlier she was in charge of sales, marketing, services and the like for the region, she will now play a more strategic global role. She will also be crucial in the company’s efforts in getting the government on board. Apart from managing regulatory issues, her focus going forward will be to consolidate partnerships as well as explore newer technologies.
