Vishaka Mulye, 

Mulye’s role as head of ICICI’s $2 billion private equity fund, ICICI Venture, is the latest move in a peripatetic career within ICICI. She was the chief financial officer of ICICI Bank, before which she worked in the treasury, markets, corporate, and project finance departments. She moved to the PE firm in 2009, amid choppy markets and leadership changes. She has raised $400 million from the domestic market, started an infrastructure fund that aims to raise $750 million, and generated $400 million in returns on companies that the fund had invested in. ICICI Venture tied up with U.S.-based Apollo Capital Partners and is in the process of setting up a $500 million to $750 million special situations fund.
