The former CIO of Shell in Britain took over as chairperson of Shell India in October last year. One of Hilton’s first moves was to review the company’s strategy in India, and push for continued sustainable investments in this market. With over 3,000 employees, Shell India operates a tech centre in Bangalore, a financial business service centre in Chennai, and an LNG terminal at Hazira in Gujarat. It also plans a floating LNG unit in Andhra Pradesh, which will require fresh investments of $1 billion.
