A new face on the list, Daruwala heads the Wholesale Banking Group that handles 4,500 clients, including large public and private sector corporations, banking and financial institutions, and government entities. The Wholesale Banking Group has a fund and a non-fund-based portfolio worth $3 trillion, and accounts for more than 40% of ICICI Bank’s pre-tax profit. Low key to a fault, Daruwala also played a key role in initiating an online transaction and tracking platform for government entities.
