The director for Jaipur Rugs, Yogesh Chaudhary, shares the inspiring journey of his company, from facing financial challenges during the 2008-09 crisis to becoming a global brand. Chaudhary talks about the tough times when there wasn’t enough money to pay weavers or vendors, marking a significant turning point in his career.

He also discusses the pivotal moment in 2016 when Jaipur Rugs opened its first retail store in Delhi, despite initial losses and skepticism from family and friends. It's not easy to go into retail, he says.

"Many of my friends told me that carpets in India will not be a very successful business, but I believed in it," says Chaudhary. His determination to rebrand the business and tell a compelling story led to a remarkable turnaround.

One of Chaudhary’s proudest moments was opening a store in Milan, which he describes as "one of the most precious moments of my life."
