NTPC Green Energy aims to reach 6,000 MW by March 2025: CMD
In an exclusive interaction with Fortune India, Gurdeep Singh, chairman and managing director of NTPC Green Energy says the company currently has a 3,300 megawatt (MW) capacity and aims to achieve 6,000 MW by March next year. The ₹10,000-crore IPO of NTPC Green Energy opened for subscription on November 19, which is a complete issue of fresh equity shares.
“Today, we have 3,300 MW capacity, and we are working on more than 11,000 MW of the capacity as of now. In this financial year, we will add 3,000 MW, taking the total capacity to 6,000 MW by March coming year. In the next financial year, we will be adding 5,000 MW, and subsequently it's around 8,000 MW, so totaling to around 19,000 MW by March 27,” explains NTPC Green CMD.
