RPSG Vice-Chairman Shashwat Goenka's inspiration in the world of business is none other than Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries. "Mr Ambani's vision and his ability to execute on that vision and his ability to execute to the Nth detail is something I am extremely inspired by." Ever since Goenka entered his family's 200-year-old legacy business a decade ago, his focus has been on businesses in which his idol Ambani has excelled -- retail and sports. After growing Spencer's Retail to a ₹3,000 crore business, he has been focusing on Nature's Basket Artisanal Pantry, a luxury food retail format.

Goenka has also taken charge of the sports business. While the ₹7,000 crore investment in the Indian Premier League's Lucknow franchise is well-known, the RPSG Group also owns ATK Mohun Bagan, now part of the Indian Super League. Goenka's advice to upcoming entrepreneurs is never ‘give up spirit’. "Don’t worry about people, continue to do what you think is right and move on."
