Police band pays tribute to Ratan Tata at his Colaba residence
The funeral of Ratan Tata, draped in the national flag, is being held today in Mumbai. His mortal remains are at the NCPA lawns for public viewing from 10 AM to 3:30 PM. A guard of honor was held at his Colaba residence, with the Mumbai Police and their band paying tribute. The final journey to the Worli crematorium will begin at 4 PM, where the last rites will be performed, overseen by his half-brother, Noel Tata. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is attending on behalf of the government, as PM Modi is in Laos, with RBI governor Shaktikanta Das and Union minister Piyush Goyal also in attendance.
