Entrepreneurs must live like saints, think like scholars and act like warriors: N.R. Narayana Murthy
"Entrepreneurs today are much smarter. They have a bigger vision. They are more daring. They will create a country we can all be proud of," says N.R. Narayana Murthy at the Fortune India 40 Under 40 Awards.
Murthy believes that the biggest competition in the market is for revenue and talent. "When I co-founded Infosys, along with my colleagues, the talent was easily available. But today, talent is extremely difficult to get because of so many opportunities available. Secondly, we all took the easy route as we focussed on export markets. Even today, in the top IT companies, 90-95% of revenue comes from abroad," he says.
New-age entrepreneurs are fighting in the Indian market, which is not easy because the country has still not come to a certain maturity level in appreciating the power of tech in gaining a competitive advantage in the marketplace, the Infosys founder says.
