Revenue Secretary Tarun Bajaj said that the capital gains tax structure in the country is too 'complicated' with multiple rates and threshold periods across asset classes. In a post-budget interaction with CII, Bajaj also said that an 'absolute relook of the capital gains is needed. Bajaj also listed GST and personal income tax as areas on which work is in progress.
