SME IPOs may end badly for investors: Radhika Gupta
Edelweiss Mutual Fund MD and CEO Radhika Gupta said the IPO market in India will continue to remain vibrant but the craze for SME IPO may end up badly for the investors. “You will continue to see a very vibrant IPO market. Over the last ten years, companies in India have received a lot of private capital. And now these companies have become so large that the only way the private capital will get an exit is the listed market. Also, India is such a nascent market that a lot of sectors are not even present on the exchange. The largest exchange is not even listed today. Second largest food delivery company is not listed today. There is a lot of scope for the IPO market in a country like ours,” she said during an interaction with Fortune India.
