SCHAUNA AND Nadia Chauhan, the eldest and youngest of the three daughters of Parle Agro founder Prakash Chauhan, have transformed the Indian beverage market with innovative launches. Initially started with a single product, Frooti, in 1985, the FMCG major now offers products such as Appy, B Fizz, SMOODH, Bailley, Dhishoom and Frio. The company has launched flavoured milk products under the SMOODH brand, and Dhishoom, a jeera masala-flavoured carbonated drink. “Dhishoom is the first brand in its category to be launched nationally,” says Nadia Chauhan, joint MD and CMO.
For Nadia, who handles sales and marketing, strategy, and R&D, key achievements last year have been disruptive launches, packaging innovation, strategic price segments, and supply chain efficiency.
For CEO Schauna Chauhan, who manages manufacturing, compliance, quality, finance and technical functions, the biggest achievements for the past one year have been establishing a robust infrastructure for PLA straw manufacturing, integration of advanced technologies, and waste reduction. “We’ve led initiatives in sustainability, such as eco-friendly packaging and energy-efficient manufacturing. By integrating IoT devices and data analytics, we enable real-time operational analysis,” says Schauna.
