Kunal Bahl,

Co-founder and CEO , Snapdeal
age: 30
Along with co-founder Rohit Bansal, Bahl took Snapdeal from a Groupon-like online deals business to an e-marketplace like eBay in 2012. The company sources products from sellers who undertake delivery to buyers. Its seller base has crossed 20,000; products (such as apparel and electronics) increased four times to 4 million, making it India’s largest e-marketplace; and eBay has led investment of more than $180 million. Now Bahl is consolidating courier services on a platform called SafeShip—a reverse auction marketplace for courier firms to deliver products from Snapdeal to buyers. India Post, Blue Dart, and 10 other companies are on board. This means better courier pricing for sellers, which can be passed on to buyers.
