Torrent gave consistent good shareholder returns in last decade: Samir Mehta

Samir Mehta, Chairman, Torrent Group says shareholder returns rose significantly in the last one year, but it is not a one  year phenomenon.  The five year and ten year market growth record has also been significant and best in class performance in each of the businesses.

He says what has been built over 30 plus years was a robust business model and the market was convinced about the growth potential for each of the businesses. Operational excellence, high governance are other parameters that the market recognised, in addition to the tailwind that each of the sector is going through.
