It has taken years for Kellogg's to reach close to Rs 800 crore in turnover. But the company knew it was going to be tough to change a country's eating habits. Pendurkar's big push has been to make Kellogg's products available in more locations. She plans to open an R&D centre in Maharashtra, close to the existing factory, even as work proceeds on the second factory in Andhra Pradesh. On the flip side, the pringles entry, which was to have made Kellogg's a player in the branded savoury snacks market, has not happened.
