Suneeta Reddy,
Managing director, Apollo Hospitals Enterpriseage: 61
India’s biggest hospital chain,
which saw its gross revenue
top ₹10,000 crore in FY20, has
been at the forefront in the
fight against Covid-19. Helmed
by Reddy, Apollo Hospitals
allocated over 2,000 beds
for Covid-19 patients, which
included 1,000 ICU beds or
about 15%-20% of its overall
capacity. In total, they treated
close to 37,000 patients (as
of September 14, 2020) and
conducted more than 150,000
tests. Importantly, Apollo
Hospitals was able to maintain
a mortality rate of less than 1%,
when the country’s average
stood at about 1.5%.
