THE LAST YEAR was phenomenal for the real estate sector, particularly the luxury segment. Out of the total 3.65 lakh units sold across the top seven cities in 2022, about 18% (around 65,680 units) were in the luxury category, according to real estate consultancy firm Anarock Group, a sharp rise from 2019, where out of the total 2.61 lakh units sold, just 7% (around 17,740 units) were in the luxury category.
